A few examples of problems we can solve:
Stress
Whether you're suffering from work/training-related stress or stress related to your personal life or previous mental health history, this can be turned from overwhelming and into a motivational force. Learn how to reduce your stress levels, better cope with the challenges you face at work and home, and even make stress a positive part of your life. I can help you to examine your own personal stress triggers and bring them down to a healthier level. Within the context of your training/work, you can learn techniques to better respond to stress and feel more prepared to cope with demanding situations. We'll also look at the impact of stress upon your physical health and how you can take steps to improve that.
Anxiety
Anxiety is extremely common and experienced by almost everyone at some time. It can make social and work situations difficult, as well as inhibit you. As anxiety is about coping within the unknown, it is a frequent concern for healthcare professionals, and in particular trainees who are still building their professional knowledge and experience. Learn to understand your anxiety and your triggers, strengthen your ability to handle the unknown, and develop strategies to reduce and cope with anxious thoughts and feelings in everyday life.
Other work/training-related issues
Often my clients who work in healthcare are suffering from not only work-related stress and/or anxiety, but also the exhaustion of burnout. Sometimes they are struggling with work-life balance issues, confidence, self-esteem or motivation. Others struggle with their career decisions, whether their career is the right 'fit' for them, or their goals. I can help with all of this and provide coping strategies for use in the work environment.
